The terms on which you may use SonaBhav.
The short version. We show you the benchmark gold and silver rate, for free, so you can walk into a jeweller knowing roughly what the metal is worth. It is indicative information — not a price quote, and not advice. The rate is the metal value only, so your bill will be higher. Always confirm the live price with your jeweller before you buy.
SonaBhav publishes the daily gold and silver rate for India. Our gold rate is the IBJA (India Bullion and Jewellers Association) benchmark — the same rate the Reserve Bank of India uses to price Sovereign Gold Bonds. Our silver rate comes from MCX. We also provide a calculator that adds making charges and GST, so you can estimate what a jeweller will actually charge.
We redistribute this data — we are not its source. We are not IBJA, not MCX, not a bullion dealer, not a jeweller, and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a licensee of any of them. We explain exactly where every number comes from, and what we refuse to do with it, on our methodology page.
SonaBhav is provided as-is and as-available, without warranty of any kind, express or implied — including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. We do not guarantee that the site will be online, that a rate will be current, or that it is free of error.
Rates can be delayed, wrong, or missing. IBJA publishes only twice on a business day and not at all on weekends or public holidays, so the most recent rate we hold may be days old. Where we do not have a rate, we say so rather than showing you a stale or estimated one.
Nothing here is investment, financial, tax or legal advice, and nothing here is an offer, solicitation or recommendation to buy or sell gold, silver, or any financial product. We do not know your circumstances and are not qualified to advise on them.
The rate we show is the metal value only.It excludes the 3% GST on metal, the 5% GST on making charges, and your jeweller’s making charge — which together will add far more to your bill than any daily movement in the rate. No jeweller is obliged to sell at the benchmark.
If you are about to spend money, confirm the live price with your jeweller, dealer or bank first. Do not rely on this site as the sole basis for a purchase, a sale, a loan, or a valuation. You use the information here at your own risk.

The site’s design, text, guides and calculator are owned by Northvane Management Private Limited. The underlying rate data is owned by its respective sources (IBJA, MCX) and licensed to us; it is not ours to give away, and your use of the site grants you no rights in it.
SonaBhav carries no advertising. It is free, and nothing on it is paid placement. If that changes, ads would be supplied by third parties and marked as advertisements; we would not endorse advertisers or their products, would not control what is shown, and an ad appearing here would not be a recommendation. Any dealing you had with an advertiser would be between you and them, and our privacy policy would be updated before any of it began.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Northvane Management Private Limited is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, SonaBhav — including any trading, purchase or sale decision made on the basis of a rate shown here, and including indirect or consequential loss.
The site is free, and our total aggregate liability to you for all claims is limited to ₹1,000.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud.
We may update these terms. The current version always lives at this address, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Raipur, Chhattisgarh have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from your use of the site.
